About the role
The Department of Biology in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach introductory biology lab courses and potentially upper-level lecture courses in ecology and evolution, genetics, cell biology, microbiology, physiology, and neurobiology.
Responsibilities
- Teach one or two courses per semester, with lab sections capped at approximately 20 students.
- Hold at least one to two hours of office hours per week.
- Attend weekly lab instructors’ meetings.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in biology or a closely related discipline.
- Prior university teaching experience is strongly preferred.
- Both a PhD and teaching experience are required for appointment at the Adjunct Assistant Professor level or higher.
Pay
$1,422–$1,794 per credit.
