Adjunct Faculty - Anatomy and Physiology
Laurel Ridge Community College is accepting applications for adjunct, part-time faculty positions in Anatomy and Physiology. Adjunct faculty appointments are made on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed.
About the Role
Responsibilities include teaching college-level Anatomy and Physiology courses, which may include distance learning on and off campus during the day, evening, and weekends. This position may be located at the Middletown Campus, Fauquier Campus, or Luray-Page County Center as needed.
Applicants must reside in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, or DC. If selected for hire, faculty with degrees awarded outside the United States must submit official evaluations of foreign transcripts to the Office of Human Resource Management.
Responsibilities
- Teach Anatomy and Physiology courses in various formats (in-person, hybrid, online).
- Utilize instructional technology and online course management tools (e.g., Canvas).
- Communicate effectively with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting during emergency declarations by the Governor.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in the field or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate credits in Anatomy and Physiology.
- Ability to use instructional technology.
- Occupational experience in the field (preferred).
- College-level teaching experience, with online teaching experience a plus.
Pay
The credit hour pay range is $794.00–$1,375.50.
Schedule
Adjunct faculty teach a variety of day, evening, and weekend classes. Work locations may include any of the college’s sites, centers, or campuses, with classes offered online, hybrid, or in-person.
