About the role
The Department of Biology and Biochemistry invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty member to begin Fall 2026. This is a part-time, non-tenure track appointment responsible for teaching one section of Anatomy & Physiology lecture during the fall semester. Renewal is contingent upon performance and enrollment needs of the department. Courses will be taught at the UH-Main campus.
Responsibilities
- Teach one section of Anatomy & Physiology lecture
Requirements
- Ph.D. in a relevant discipline awarded by July 1, 2026
- Demonstrated broad training and skills in contemporary pedagogy
- Strong interest in teaching and willingness to work collaboratively with counterparts at the UH-Main campus
- Home address in the state of Texas for the duration of the appointment
- Official transcripts required for faculty appointment (requested upon selection of final candidates)
Qualifications
- Experience with classroom teaching and course development (advantageous)
- Experience with lab course management and instruction (highly desired)
