About the role
The New England School of Acupuncture is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Asian Medical Bodywork I in the fall 2026 semester.
Responsibilities
- Deliver didactic and practical instruction in person
- Use the online Learning Management System Blackboard®
- Create an engaging active learning environment for students
- Provide periodic assessments of student progress towards meeting course learning outcomes
- Apply grading policies fairly and consistently
- Develop and adhere to the course syllabus per the NESA/MCPHS format
- Include course description, learning outcomes, attendance policy, and assessment criteria
- Adhere to MCPHS assessment criteria, including assignment deliverables and timelines
Requirements
The ideal candidate will teach Asian Medical Bodywork I-III in the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
Qualifications
- Subject matter expertise in Asian Medical Bodywork (Tui Na preferred)
- Foundational knowledge of channel theory and anatomical knowledge
- Skills in touch assessment, treatment planning, and patient care
- Experience teaching in an academic setting
- Ability to teach in-person and online
Skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles
- Strong organizational and time management skills
