Essential Job Functions
- Instructs assigned courses as scheduled and assumes primary responsibility for and exercises oversight of the curriculum in conjunction with the Department’s policies.
- Designs and supports a range of appropriate learning activities considering individual differences of students.
- Identifies and responds to students with academic or other needs by utilizing appropriate resources.
- Utilizes technology in courses and programs, communicating clear expectations regarding its use to students.
- Keeps accurate and appropriate records in accordance with departmental policies, including maintaining attendance records, determining and submitting grades, and providing progress feedback to students.
- Distributes and maintains accurate syllabi that incorporate departmental, college, cross-college, and instructor requirements.
- Counsels students on appropriate student and academic support services available at the College or in the community.
- Engages in periodic meetings with the department, Lead Instructor, and Chairperson relative to teaching duties and professional development.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Economics.
Additional Information
- State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
Working Conditions
- Typical office and classroom environment.
- Moderate noise exposure typical to business offices.
Compensation Details
- Compensation: $55.88 per contact hour.
- Contact Hour: Two hours equals one contact hour.
- Hrs: Maximum of 12 contact hours per week.
- Type: Part time.
