About the role
Teach Criminal Justice courses in an online format using the learning management system (LMS) D2L Brightspace.
Responsibilities
- Use the learning management system (LMS) D2L Brightspace.
- Provide instruction and engage with students.
- Conduct assessment and grading.
- Provide student support and maintain communication.
- Manage technology and the platform.
- Adhere to institutional policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a qualifying field or master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields.
- Qualifying fields: Criminal Justice, Criminology, Administration of Justice, Public Safety, Law Enforcement, Police Science, Police Administration.
- To teach online, the candidate must have experience using D2L.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of Criminal Justice professional standards.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to respond in a timely manner to students.
- Promptness in reporting and recordkeeping requirements.
