Adjunct College Laboratory Technician - Culinary Arts (2 Positions)

GENERAL DUTIES

• Set-up, maintain, and organize kitchen laboratories and spaces.
• Monitor and maintain all kitchen equipment, kitchen laboratories, and spaces.
• Auxiliary inventory management and fulfillment of kitchen laboratory requisitions.
• Maintain appropriate safety and cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, kitchen laboratories, and spaces.
• Assist with the set-up, break-down, maintenance, and organization of kitchen laboratories and spaces.
• Document kitchen laboratory activities as required.
• Provide kitchen laboratory support to Culinary Arts faculty and students.
• Perform other duties as needed and as assigned by the Senior CLT Kitchen Manager and the Culinary Arts Program Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma with a minimum of four years related experience.
• Associate degree may be substitute for two years experience.
• Bachelor's degree may be substituted for four years experience.
• Preferred qualifications include:
  • National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation for ServSafe Food Safety.
  • NYC DOH Foodhandlers.
  • National Culinary Certification - CCE, CEC, CMC, CPC, CCA.
  • Strong understanding of food and beverage production with accurate weighing and measuring abilities.

PAY & BENEFITS

Compensation: $35.39 per hour.

Part-time employees must meet a weekly or semester work hour criteria to be eligible for health benefits. Health benefits are also extended to retirees who meet the eligibility criteria.
