Adjunct College Laboratory Technician - Biological Sciences

General Duties

Performs highly-skilled laboratory functions and other technical duties in support of coursework. Sets up, maintains, and organizes student laboratories. Assists students with setting up experiments and other learning exercises, and with the use of equipment and materials. Maintains appropriate safety and hygiene standards. Maintains required documentation related to laboratory activities. Manages equipment and materials inventories.

About the Role

The Adjunct College Laboratory Technician (CLT) will report directly to the Department's Full-Time College Laboratory Technician (CLTs).

Responsibilities

• Helps prepare and set up laboratories for instructors.
• Cleaning of glassware and other items as needed.
• Receiving and properly storing deliveries.
• Helping full time CLTs with inventory.
• Evening/Weekend hours will be required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma with a minimum of four years related experience.
• Additional education may be used to meet the experience requirement: an Associate degree may be substituted for two years experience, and a Bachelor's degree may be substituted for four years experience.

Pay

$34.20 - $49.41 per hour; salary commensurate with education and experience.

Schedule

Evening/Weekend hours will be required. Adjunct CLTs are allowed a maximum of 225 hours per semester.
