Adjunct CNA Instructor - WED

About the Role

The Adjunct CNA Instructor contributes to the College’s mission by maximizing student success and supporting the economic growth and development of York, Lancaster, and Chester counties and the State.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with course syllabus, grading/attendance policy, and other relevant information in a timely manner.
• Relate instructional materials, discussions, examples, and illustrations to course content.
• Pace instruction appropriately over the academic term.
• Provide students with timely assessments and return results promptly.
• Relate assessments to course objectives and follow department and college grading policies.
• Utilize appropriate instructional technology to enhance learning.
• Maintain a positive environment for optimum student performance.
• Submit reports in a timely manner and practice effective class management.
• Prioritize duties and use time wisely, adhering to class schedules and meeting times.
• Provide effective classroom and lab supervision.
• Maintain accurate records and handle students’ work and records professionally.
• Demonstrate nurse aide skills, supervise students in laboratory and clinical settings, and evaluate student competency.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted South Carolina Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• At least one year of nursing experience in the provision of long-term care facility services.
• Completed a course in teaching adults, or have experience teaching adults or supervising nurse aides.
• Able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
