Job Duties
- Teach classes (lecture, lab, and clinical hours) as assigned by the Academic Dean.
- Create an environment conducive to student learning.
- Evaluate and report student performances and progress in courses.
- Refer students to college resources based on their learning outcomes.
- Organize and present various curriculum concepts to a wide range of students.
- Adjust teaching techniques to accommodate different backgrounds and abilities.
Qualifications
- CNA Instructor must be a Registered Nurse with at least one year of hospital or clinical experience.
- Achieve a Train the Trainer certification or be willing to obtain one upon hire.
- Pass a background check, have a valid U.S. driver’s license, and maintain a good driving record.
- Meet Minimum Faculty Standards for hire and adhere to college policies and procedures.
Physical Demands
- Occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.
- Sit or stand for extended periods.
- Use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone, and other basic office equipment.
- Regularly talk and hear, and use a phone.
- Read, write, calculate, interact socially, demonstrate strong organizational skills, reason, analyze, work with minimal supervision, solve problems, and exhibit high-level interpersonal skills.
- Frequent contact with internal and external customers is required.
- Responsible for obtaining and maintaining reliable compatible computer hardware and software.
