Adjunct Biology Instructor

About the Role

Teach Biology courses to students in all academic programs at the Technical College of the Lowcountry.

Responsibilities

• Instruction including hands-on and theory, classroom management, and administrative tasks such as reports, syllabus, and lesson plan development.
• Assess student accomplishment on a regular basis.
• Maintain records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
• Recommend adequate instructional materials for course approval.
• Collaborate with other college areas (e.g., Tutoring, Retention) to support student success.
• Prepare reports in cooperation with the Division Dean for planning, reporting, or accreditation purposes.
• Attend relevant professional meetings.
• Represent the College positively in community and professional/academic interactions at local, state, and national levels.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Biology or Master’s Degree in a related field and a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Biology.
• Unofficial transcripts required at the time of application.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Biology.
• Two (2) years of teaching experience.
