About the Role
Teach Biology courses to students in all academic programs at the Technical College of the Lowcountry.
Responsibilities
- Instruction including hands-on and theory, classroom management, and administrative tasks such as reports, syllabus, and lesson plan development.
- Assess student accomplishment on a regular basis.
- Maintain records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
- Recommend adequate instructional materials for course approval.
- Collaborate with other college areas (e.g., Tutoring, Retention) to support student success.
- Prepare reports in cooperation with the Division Dean for planning, reporting, or accreditation purposes.
- Attend relevant professional meetings.
- Represent the College positively in community and professional/academic interactions at local, state, and national levels.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Biology or Master’s Degree in a related field and a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Biology.
- Unofficial transcripts required at the time of application.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Biology.
- Two (2) years of teaching experience.
