About the role
The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is seeking dynamic, motivated, and diverse candidates for part-time Psychology Instructor positions for the 2026 Academic School Year. This posting aims to create a pool of qualified applicants for future openings at LACCD's nine colleges.
Responsibilities
- Teach any Psychology courses offered, fostering engaging and inclusive educational environments that support student learning.
- Collaborate, communicate, and work professionally with students, staff, faculty, and administrators.
- Engage in culturally responsive interactions with students, faculty, staff, and community members from diverse backgrounds.
Requirements
- Master's in psychology; OR Bachelor's in psychology AND a Master's in Counseling, sociology, statistics, neuroscience, or social work; OR, the equivalent.
- A sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Desirable Skills
- Experience teaching Statistics and/or Research Methods preferred.
Benefits
The LACCD offers a competitive salary schedule for adjunct instructors, starting at $86.85 per standard hour, plus an office hour differential of $20.31 per hour for classroom assignments. Applicants with a doctoral degree are eligible for a doctoral differential.
