The Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC seeks applicants for a 20% part-time faculty position at the rank of Adjunct Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences, Anesthesiology and Emergency Medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Provide post-doctoral clinical and didactic instruction in parenteral moderate sedation to post-doctoral periodontology residents as per CODA educational standards for certificate programs.

Requirements

  • A DDS or DMD degree, or its equivalent.
  • Successfully completed a post-doctoral education, a CODA accredited training program in Dental Anesthesiology.
  • Board certified or board eligible by the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology.
  • Familiarity with surgical aspects of periodontal care that includes dental implant placement, sinus lift/reconstruction, and bone graft and harvesting procedures.

Qualifications

  • Experience in providing post-doctoral clinical and didactic instruction in parenteral moderate sedation to post-doctoral periodontology residents as per CODA educational standards for certificate programs.

Skills

  • Strong clinical skills in dental anesthesia.
  • Ability to teach effectively and mentor post-doctoral periodontology residents.

Benefits

  • The hourly rate range for this position is $62.50 - $75.00.

Schedule

  • This is a 20% part-time faculty position.
