Adjunct Assistant Professor, Certified Nurse Aide
About the role
The Adjunct Assistant Professor, Certified Nurse Aide, facilitates class lectures, labs, and clinical instruction of health occupations students during fall, spring, and/or summer semesters.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate class lectures, labs, and clinical instruction of health occupations students.
- Supervise Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs).
- Continuously update knowledge about person-centered care.
- Communicate effectively with students and colleagues.
- Use technology efficiently in teaching and administrative tasks.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Kansas, or Multi-State Licensure.
- 2-5 Years of experience as an LPN in long-term care nursing.
- Experience in supervising CNAs.
- Continuing education about person-centered care.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable with technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Higher Education experience.
