Certified Nursing Assistant Adjunct Faculty
About the role
Adjunct Faculty appointments are located on Parkland College's Campus in Champaign, Illinois and have a salary range of $1,406.00 - 1,586.00 per Equated Contact Hour (ECH) commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applications accepted until position(s) is filled.
Responsibilities
- Teach part-time, advise and mentor students.
- Available for student advising/mentoring.
- Maintain regular office hours to ensure availability for student consultation.
- Provide assistance to students in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate scholastic records of students.
- Submit required reports on student progress according to published deadlines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair.
Requirements
- Two years of experience as a registered nurse.
- If ADN, must have successfully completed IDPH Train the Trainer CNA Instructor course (if BSN or higher, not required).
- Experience in caring for patients with Alzheimer's/dementia, or four CEUs in dementia education.
- Maintain all professional credentials required to teach in area of discipline.
Qualifications
- Must meet all clinical requirements including successfully completing a post offer, pre-employment clinical drug test.
- Ability to learn the Parkland information system and new programs as technology changes.
