Certified Nursing Assistant Adjunct Faculty

About the role

Adjunct Faculty appointments are located on Parkland College's Campus in Champaign, Illinois and have a salary range of $1,406.00 - 1,586.00 per Equated Contact Hour (ECH) commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applications accepted until position(s) is filled.

Responsibilities

• Teach part-time, advise and mentor students.
• Available for student advising/mentoring.
• Maintain regular office hours to ensure availability for student consultation.
• Provide assistance to students in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate scholastic records of students.
• Submit required reports on student progress according to published deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair.

Requirements

• Two years of experience as a registered nurse.
• If ADN, must have successfully completed IDPH Train the Trainer CNA Instructor course (if BSN or higher, not required).
• Experience in caring for patients with Alzheimer's/dementia, or four CEUs in dementia education.
• Maintain all professional credentials required to teach in area of discipline.

Qualifications

• Must meet all clinical requirements including successfully completing a post offer, pre-employment clinical drug test.
• Ability to learn the Parkland information system and new programs as technology changes.
