Adjunct Assistant: Foundations Program
The University of North Texas System is seeking qualified individuals for its Adjunct Assistant Instructor pool in the Foundations Program within the College of Visual Arts and Design. Positions are made on a per-semester basis and are dependent on program needs.
About the role
Adjunct Assistant Instructors support undergraduate Foundations courses within a coordinated lecture/lab model under the supervision of the instructor of record. Duties include assisting with studio-based instruction in drawing, design, visual communication, and interdisciplinary practices; facilitating small group discussions and critiques; and supporting project-based learning that integrates research, writing, and visual production. Adjunct Assistant Instructors may assist with evaluating student work and providing feedback, as directed by the instructor of record, and help reinforce learning outcomes in alignment with program objectives. Ongoing coordination with Foundations leadership and course instructors is expected to maintain curricular consistency across sections.
Responsibilities
- Assist with studio-based instruction in drawing, design, visual communication, and interdisciplinary practices

Requirements
- MFA in Visual Art, Design, or related discipline
- A demonstrated ability to teach and make connections across various (2D/3D/time-based, etc.) disciplines in visual art and design
- A demonstrated ability to mentor students
