Adjunct - Accounting

About the role

The Business and Information Technology Department at Kirkwood Community College seeks in-person part-time instructors to teach at their Cedar Rapids and Johnson County locations. The position is contingent upon satisfactory background checks and official transcripts.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in discipline.
• Work with other faculty members to develop a course syllabus and consistent assessments.
• Communicate with department staff, students, and faculty on a regular basis.
• Perform other related work duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Accounting.
• Bachelor’s with a CPA, CMA, or CFA (preferred).
• Six graduate credit hours in Finance (preferred).
• Experience teaching at the college level (preferred).
• Demonstrated commitment to the mission of a comprehensive community college (preferred).
• Demonstrated success in working collaboratively (preferred).
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team (preferred).
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills (preferred).
