About the role
The Business and Information Technology Department at Kirkwood Community College seeks in-person part-time instructors to teach at their Cedar Rapids and Johnson County locations. The position is contingent upon satisfactory background checks and official transcripts.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction in discipline.
- Work with other faculty members to develop a course syllabus and consistent assessments.
- Communicate with department staff, students, and faculty on a regular basis.
- Perform other related work duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Accounting.
- Bachelor’s with a CPA, CMA, or CFA (preferred).
- Six graduate credit hours in Finance (preferred).
- Experience teaching at the college level (preferred).
- Demonstrated commitment to the mission of a comprehensive community college (preferred).
- Demonstrated success in working collaboratively (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team (preferred).
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills (preferred).
