About the role
The successful candidate will have earned at least a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology(IT), Information Systems(IS), or a related degree. Strong commitment to teaching in a liberal arts undergraduate curriculum is required. Candidate must be comfortable with technology and experience with Moodle is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Teach CSCI 1100: Introduction to Personal Computing
- Describe how computers are applied to solving problems in our information-oriented society
- Study fundamental hardware, operating systems, networking, computer privacy and security, and the social, economic, and legal impact of information systems
- Use standard business-based software packages (MS Office) to solve a variety of problems
- This course is required for many of our science majors who use Excel in their coursework and is also an elective for a diverse set of students across campus
Requirements
Earned at least a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology(IT), Information Systems(IS), or a related degree.
Strong commitment to teaching in a liberal arts undergraduate curriculum.
Comfortable with technology and experience with Moodle is a plus.
