Adhoc Vendor Surveillance Inspector - Washington

About the role

Intertek Technical Inspection Services (TIS) partners with clients in oil & gas, renewable energy, engineering, chemical, and transportation industries to support global infrastructure needs through inspection, expediting, technical auditing, and site construction support. The Part Time Adhoc Quality Inspector is based in Olympia, Washington and surrounding areas, performing visual inspections of materials and fabricated equipment at vendor shops or on‑site facilities. The role requires travel at least 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections or audits and review testing for conformance to client specifications, industry standards, and approved procedures, reporting results.
• Review material test reports for conformance with applicable codes and standards.
• Follow up on dispositions and corrective actions related to non‑conformances.
• Document inspection activities in electronic formats.
• Evaluate and agree upon project quality procedures, standards, and specifications to ensure engineering, procurement, and manufacturing adherence.
• Review Inspection & Testing Plans to ensure a standardized minimum level of surveillance per contractual requirements and identify critical inspections/tests to be witnessed by the Owner.
• Carry out inspection visits per ITP, either personally or through third‑party resources.
