About the Role
Provides engagement, counseling, and case management services to individuals affected by substance use disorders, including co-occurring mental health conditions. Works within a multidisciplinary team to support members at various stages of recovery, delivering individual, group, and family therapy in outpatient or residential settings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and documentation.
- Coordinate care, including medication management.
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy.
- Contribute to program development, training, and process improvements.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or related field.
- Minimum one year of experience in SUD treatment or completion of an internship.
- Relevant licensure or certification (e.g., SUD Professional Trainee, Licensed Counselor, Social Worker).
- Knowledge of best practices for treating substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
- Competency in assessment, diagnosis, culturally aware care, confidentiality, and legal reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in electronic health records, virtual and in-person care, and case management.
- Ability to interface with multidisciplinary teams and utilize assessment tools like ASAM criteria.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years post-masters experience in SUD settings.
- Experience in integrated healthcare, adolescent treatment, family therapy, trauma, and crisis management.
- Training in Motivational Interviewing and Feedback Informed Care.
- State licensure in mental health and substance use treatment; dual licensure encouraged.
