About the role
CarePoint Response, Inc. (CPR) is a nonprofit organization providing behavioral health crisis response services in Baltimore. Since 1992, CPR has been offering crisis intervention and substance use treatment services for individuals experiencing mental health or substance use crises.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling for clients in 3.7 residential treatment.
- Complete biopsychosocial (BPS) assessments and initial treatment plans upon admission.
- Review progress with clients and update treatment goals in collaboration with the care team.
- Document all services in Credible (electronic medical record).
- Prepare and submit initial and concurrent authorizations to payors/insurers.
- Complete discharge summaries and coordinate discharge planning with the client’s care team.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate substance use treatment services and support continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Education & Credentials: Associate’s Degree and CSC-AD or higher (required).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years working with individuals in the public behavioral health system (preferred).
- Skills & Requirements: Valid, unrestricted driver’s license (required); proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (required); experience with EHR/EMR systems (preferred).
Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk/computer and standing, bending, and reaching.
- Must occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
