Main Function
To be responsible for the direct treatment of an assigned caseload of clients who are addicted to alcohol or any other mood-altering substances.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- User role(s) information systems access as assigned, where applicable
- Provides group counseling to an assigned caseload
- Provides individual counseling as clinically necessary
- Designs and implements treatment plans and treatment plan reviews
- Generates referral source progress reports
- Conducts lectures, seminars, workshops, and task-oriented groups
- Maintains contact with referral sources, including EAP’s, probation, parole, and outpatient treatment providers, etc.
- Initiates Discharge Planning and makes appropriate referrals when necessary
- Participates in all scheduled Case Conferencing and Discharge Planning meetings for treatment review of clients
- Attends biweekly individual supervision and bi-weekly group supervision
- Participates in staff meetings
- Completes all required consent for release of information forms
- Conducts Peer Review monthly
- Enters progress notes and other clinical documentation as needed into the EMR
- Responsible for approving qualified family members for attendance in the Family Program
- Performs other duties as assigned

Educational and Qualifications
- Licensed Qualified Health Professional (CASAC, LCSW, LMSW, LMHC), plus one year of full-time paid experience in substance abuse treatment
