Responsibilities
- Perform ordinary and extraordinary maintenance on:
- Electrical, plumbing, and heating systems
- Refrigeration and air-conditioning systems
- Kitchen equipment (ovens, refrigerators, industrial dishwashers, hoods, etc.)
- Carry out periodic preventive checks to avoid breakdowns and operational downtime.
- Intervene promptly in case of breakdowns or malfunctions, minimizing impact on service.
- Handle issues directly without continuous reliance on external providers, taking initiative within your responsibilities under the Director’s supervision.
- Collaborate with kitchen and dining staff to schedule interventions without disrupting food production.
- Verify the proper functioning of safety systems (fire prevention, emergency systems, signage).
- Provide emergency response for breakdowns during opening hours.
- Manage relationships with external suppliers and companies for specialized interventions.
- Complete intervention reports, maintenance logs, and update maintenance records.
- Use management software and handle administrative tasks (e.g., monitoring and entering external provider intervention reports).
- Operate in full compliance with HACCP regulations and hygiene-sanitary procedures.
- Apply workplace safety regulations (Legislative Decree 81/08).
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and work tools correctly.
- Ensure all interventions do not compromise food safety or environmental hygiene.
Requirements
- Technical diploma (electrical, mechanical, thermo-hydraulic, or equivalent).
- Previous experience in maintenance roles, preferably in food, healthcare, or collective environments.
- Basic knowledge of:
- Electrical and plumbing systems
- Refrigeration systems
- Professional catering equipment
- Knowledge of HACCP and safety regulations.
- Good manual skills and problem-solving ability.
- Availability for weekend work and occasional night shifts.
- Precision and attention to detail.
- Reliability and sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and availability for urgent interventions.
- Good communication skills with operational staff.
Benefits
- 6-month full-time fixed-term contract with potential for permanent employment.
- Annual gross salary: €32,000 to €35,000, based on experience.
- Classification under Level III of the National Tourism Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL Turismo).
- Compensation package compliant with the national contract, adjusted for experience.
- Year-round employment (not seasonal).
