About the role

dm drogerie markt is continuing to expand and develop its unique approach to work. Since 2017 we have opened more than 100 new stores and currently have over 1,000 colleagues across northern and central Italy. For our Milan Centrale station store we are looking for a Sales Assistant who thrives in a team environment, is eager to take on new challenges, and aligns with our “different idea of work.”

Schedule

The position is part-time (30 hours per week) on a fixed-term contract for 3 months, with the possibility of renewal to a permanent contract. Work hours are on a rotating shift basis across 6 working days per week. The monthly schedule is set one month in advance, with the possibility of 1 or 2 Sundays off per month, depending on store needs and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Goods and warehouse: handling goods receipt (loading and unloading), restocking shelves, and maintaining cleanliness and order in both warehouse and store.
• Cashier operations: processing purchases, answering customer questions and concerns, promoting current offers, and more.
• Customer assistance and advice: using product knowledge to advise and assist customers, ensuring a unique and positive shopping experience in dm.
• Product display: creating the typical welcoming atmosphere of dm through correct product presentation.
• Promotions: organizing, setting up, and executing promotional activities.

Requirements

• Work experience and preferably education in sales, retail (GDO), or commerce.
• Familiarity with digital tools.
• Flexible scheduling and ability to work under pressure, even during peak periods.
• Willingness to undertake short-term business trips, with expenses covered by the company.
