About the role

dm drogerie markt is expanding and developing its "different idea of work." Since 2017, we have opened more than 100 new stores and currently have over 1,000 colleagues across northern and central Italy. For our Milan central station store, we are looking for a sales assistant with a strong team spirit, enthusiasm, and identification with our "different idea of work." This is a part-time position (24 hours per week) on a fixed-term contract for 3 months, with the possibility of renewal for an indefinite period. Work is scheduled on a shift basis across 6 working days. The monthly hour plan is set one month in advance, allowing for 1 or 2 Sundays off per month, depending on store needs and possibilities.

Responsibilities

• Goods and warehouse: handling goods receipt (loading and unloading), shelf restocking, and maintaining cleanliness and order in both the warehouse and the store
• Cash desk operations: completing purchases, answering customer questions and concerns, promoting promotions, and more
• Assistance and advice: using your product experience and knowledge to advise and assist customers, making their dm shopping experience unique and outstanding
• Product display: creating dm's typical wellness atmosphere for customers through proper product arrangement
• Organizing, setting up, and carrying out promotions

Requirements

• Work experience and education preferably in sales, large-scale retail, or commerce
• Familiarity with digital tools
• Schedule flexibility and ability to work towards goals, even during peak workload periods
• Availability for short business trips (company-covered)
• Customer and service orientation: empathy, engagement, effective communication, and trust in relationships with others
• Initiative and problem-solving orientation
• Team spirit and ability to work collaboratively
