ADC Engineer I, Amazon Dedicated Cloud Relational Engineering

About the role

AWS is seeking an ADC Engineer to own and advance mission critical services in our Amazon Dedicated Clouds (ADC). On a "typical" day, our engineers may dive deep to find the root cause of a customer issue, investigate why a metric is trending in the wrong direction, or discuss radical new approaches to automate operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Join a dedicated group of engineers who provide troubleshooting and operations support, and innovate to automate operational tasks.
• Identify when implementations are not highly available or have defects; investigate systemic patterns.
• Resolve, mitigate, or escalate operational concerns in a timely manner.
• Support all RDS products and platforms in the ADC regions.
• Provide support for Amazon RDS, which includes six familiar database engines: Amazon Aurora, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MariaDB.

Requirements

• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+.
• 1+ years of systems administration (Linux/Windows).
• Experience working with scripting languages like Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell, or equivalent.
• 1+ years of cloud computing technologies experience.
• 1+ years of networking and troubleshooting experience.
• 1+ years of support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments.
• Experience automating routine tasks.

$91,000.00 - $152,000.00 USD annually
