ADAS Hardware Systems Integration Engineer
About the role
This position is for an ADAS Hardware Systems Integration Engineer and focuses on ensuring the feature delivers the expectations of the customer. You will develop and implement the next generation data acquisition systems for our next generation of architectures and vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Lead / support vehicle instrumentation testing and troubleshooting
- Lead / support revisions to vehicle instrumentation design
- Troubleshoot vehicle instrumentation issues as they pertain to hardware and software
- Complete vehicle module software and configuration updates
- Identify root-cause & resolve vehicle issues to enable ADAS features / functions
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting for Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) and configuration issues
- Understand and verify vehicle specifications for feature / system validation
- Understand ADAS test methods and required feature / system behaviors
- Support ADAS feature / system validation testing and development, including both vehicle and virtual methods (e.g., VIL and HIL) when applicable
- Deliver efficiency improvements in test operations activities via process development, team training, and tools creation
- Develop MATLAB, CAN, Python, etc. tools for data collection and analysis
- Support and coordinate root-cause analysis with internal functions and external suppliers to ensure that features / systems achieve expected performance
- Support additional tasks related to business operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related degree
- 3+ years of experience in developing features or systems in the ADAS domain using radars, cameras, or ultrasonic sensors with other related vehicle systems (body, electrical, chassis, powertrain)
- Troubleshooting experience with electromechanical systems
- Experience with instrumentation equipment at the design and development stage as well as application
- Experience using typical automotive interfaces: CAN, CANFD, Autosar, Auto-Ethernet, etc.
- Experience using Vector CANape, CANalyzer and dSPACE Controls Desk or similar tools
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink
- Experience with virtual validation methods (VIL/HIL/MIL)

Pay
This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $115,000-$155,000.
Schedule
This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
