About the role

We are seeking a skilled professional to join the ADAS Functional Safety Systems team. You will lead the development and integration of Functional Safety work products on vehicle program applications for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features like BlueCruise and Pro-Trailer Hitch Assist. Your responsibilities include developing and maintaining Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments (HARA), Functional Safety Concepts (FSC), and Technical Safety Concepts (TSC); producing safety analysis (DFMEA, FTA, DFA, per ISO 26262); supporting the planning of Safety Verification & Validation activities at different levels of system abstraction; creating test cases (DVP), executing them, and evaluating results; contributing to safety audits and assessments; and collaborating cross-functionally with systems, hardware, software, and V&V stakeholders to deliver a safe product with a comprehensive safety case.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, Computer Engineering or related degree; or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education
  • 5 years of experience in Functional Safety
  • 5 years of experience with products in mass production
  • 2 years of experience with Model Based Systems Engineering

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical, Systems, Computer Engineering or related degree; or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education
  • 10 years of experience in Functional Safety
  • 5+ years of experience with automotive product development
  • 2+ years of experience with SysML / MagicDraw
  • 2+ years of experience with the development of automotive sensors (e.g., cameras, radars) and ECUs
  • 2+ years of experience developing and conducting laboratory and vehicle tests, gathering and analyzing data

Skills

  • Experience with Functional Safety
  • Experience with products in mass production

  • Experience with SysML / MagicDraw
  • Experience with the development of automotive sensors (e.g., cameras, radars) and ECUs

Pay

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $97,140-162,540.

Schedule

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
