About the role
The role involves providing adapted physical education services to students with special needs in a school setting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized physical activity programs tailored to student needs.
- Assist students in developing motor skills and fitness levels.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to support students' overall development.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience and empathy towards students with special needs.
- Knowledge of adaptive equipment and techniques.
Skills
- Physical education teaching skills.
- First aid and CPR certification.
