Operates imaging equipment and software, primarily ultrasound, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires proficiency in operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards. A strong commitment to patient care, technical expertise, and collaborative communication with patients and healthcare professionals is essential to provide optimal care.
Responsibilities
- Operate imaging equipment, primarily ultrasound, to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Adhere to imaging protocols and make adjustments as needed.
- Follow machine emergency procedures and radiation safety protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of imaging procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance and quality checks on imaging equipment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Sonography with completed required clinical hours.
- One (1) year of relevant experience.
- State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
- Certifications/Registrations: ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI, plus 2 applicable advanced registries/certifications within the work area.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

- Vascular experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
