Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepares compounds and dispenses medications, chemotherapy, and other high alert intravenous medications upon physician's orders.
• Oversees daily pharmaceutical inventory stocking, restocking and management using automated dispensing devices; assists with processing patient charge tickets.
• Maintains clean and safe operation of biological safety cabinets.
• Maintains inventory of medications including performing routine cycle counts of drug inventory, rotating stock and pulling outdated medications.
• Assists pharmacists, physicians, nurses, and staff as needed.
• Attends training classes, programs, and departmental meetings.
• Manages supply ordering, and maintains supplies in all medication areas, ensuring all areas are fully stocked.
• Adheres to and regulates operations of all automated systems in the Pharmacy Department.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Must possess an active Pharmacy Technician license from the Idaho State Board of Pharmacy.
• Training equivalent to one year beyond high school; supplemented with two (2) years of related experience.
