Duties/Responsibilities

  • Support the creation and execution of comprehensive market access & value strategies that clearly communicate the impact and benefits of Intellia’s gene editing therapies in ATTR.
  • Contribute to and refine strategies that align with our US and global commercial goals and resonate in global markets.
  • Develop clear and persuasive communication plans that effectively convey the differentiated value proposition of our therapies for US and global stakeholders.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including market access, HEOR, marketing, medical affairs, and corporate communications, to craft narratives that address the needs and interests of clinicians, payers, channel partners, and patient advocacy groups.
  • Supports identification of evidence enhancements & gaps to inform future research objectives to bolster the value proposition and to support product positioning and aligned access goals.
  • Develop and refine launch plans and lead execution of US and global market access strategies, marketing initiatives and corresponding materials/innovative tactics to ensure launch readiness across all access channels to secure access for providers and patients.
  • Work to establish reimbursement pathways for first-in-class gene therapies across access stakeholders including payer pre-launch engagement plans and site readiness preparation, including supporting marketing programs and communication materials.
  • Leverage insights from the ATTR access & payer landscapes to inform value strategy, messaging, and positioning. Regularly analyze market trends, competitive activity, and regulatory landscape to refine Intellia’s approach and enhance the launch trajectory. Assess the impact of key policies to the portfolio (e.g. IRA, MFN, etc).
  • Collaborate with market access and HEOR teams to help shape pricing and reimbursement strategies for US and global markets leveraging a understanding of gene therapy valuation models. Develop arguments, evidence frameworks and communication materials to support optimal coverage and reimbursement, particularly for novel therapies in rare disease.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives with internal stakeholders to ensure cohesive launch readiness. Serve as a key contributor to strategic communications efforts related to product value, bridging scientific, commercial, and patient-oriented teams to create unified messages. Effectively leads cross-functionally, particularly across Market Access, HEOR, Brand, Regulatory, and Medical to ensure alignment around, and delivery against, access goals and ensures access view is represented in commercial and development plans, and forecasts.
  • Provide support for portfolio and pipeline Market Access related activities including, but not limited to global access strategy, payer marketing workstreams, market insights and analytics, congress engagement, secondary research and analyses.

Requirements

  • Proven success in supporting value strategy, market access, or strategic communications functions in a launch setting, with demonstrated ability to deliver differentiated and compelling value narratives for US and global stakeholders.
  • Customer-facing access marketing materials experience.
  • Experience launching first in class products in the United States, including pre-launch early payer engagement and market development.
  • Experience in developing global market access strategies, with demonstrated knowledge of ex-US healthcare payer systems, pricing schemes, and reimbursement models, with a specific focus on major markets.
  • Experience in supporting provider site and channel access & reimbursement strategy in the US and its implementation to support site readiness for product adoption and administration.
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare payer systems, reimbursement models – including the US buy-and-bill model, and value frameworks, especially in rare disease and Medicare.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a track record of influencing cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and present confidently to a range of audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with a commitment to addressing the unique challenges of gene editing therapies.

Skills/Abilities

  • Advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, PhD, MD) or equivalent in business, life sciences, public health, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience 5+ years of experience in biopharma, ideally in gene therapy, gene editing, cardiovascular therapies, or other innovative therapeutics, with 3+ years in market access.

The base salary for this position is expected to range between $201,883.00 - $246,745.00 USD per year. The salary offered is determined based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant education and training, overall related experience, specialized, rare or in-demand skill sets, internal comparators and other business needs. Upon joining Intellia, your salary will be reviewed periodically and additional factors such as time in role and performance will be considered. Intellia may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Additional compensation includes a performance-based annual cash bonus, a new hire equity grant, and eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards the value of which are determined annually at the Company’s discretion.
