About the Role
Provides direct patient care in a 25-bed Acute Care Medicine unit, managing patients with diverse clinical conditions. Supports a multidisciplinary team including physicians, social workers, and therapists to deliver high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to standards.
- Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop, document, and communicate individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team.
- Evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.
- Maintain safety-sensitive standards, working in a constant state of alertness.
Requirements
- Active RN license required.
- Nursing diploma or associate's degree; bachelor's degree preferred.
- No prior experience necessary; less than 2 years preferred.
