Acute Medicine Registered Nurse FT Days

Role Overview Provides direct patient care on an acute medicine unit with a capacity of 13 adult patients, specializing in complex medical conditions such as renal, endocrine, neurological, GI/GU, pulmonary, infectious diseases, and cardiology. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Educates patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations. Qualifications & Skills Minimum education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree in Nursing; RN license required.Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and 2+ years of experience.Safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe work practices.Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
