Acute Inpatient PT Mental Health Therapist: Weekend/Holiday

About the role

Seeking Breakthrough Makers at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), a renowned institution dedicated to advancing pediatric care and patient outcomes. The role involves providing professional mental health treatment to patients and families within an acute inpatient psychiatric unit, utilizing recognized best practice interventions.

Responsibilities

• Affirms the importance of social work practice, human behavior, and child and family development in assessing and planning interventions.
• Conducts psychosocial assessments and provides age-appropriate counseling, treatment, and resources to patients and families.
• Collaborates with various disciplines, programs, departments, and organizations to ensure comprehensive care for patients and families.
• Supervises and trains developing mental health providers, offering direct supervision and training.
• Provides clinical care to the Behavioral Health Integrated Program, as needed.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work or Social Welfare.
• Prior clinical social work experience.
• Experience in a hospital, health organization, or mental health agency setting.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Pennsylvania or New Jersey.

• Knowledge of typical and atypical child development and related areas.
• Knowledge of child psychopathology.
• Knowledge of therapy and psychological assessment techniques with children and families.
• Knowledge of behavioral methodology and principles.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other healthcare team providers.

• Ability to learn public health policy and health care legislation and respond to it as a family advocate.

Pay
