Responsibilities
Administer and directly apply speech/language pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician.
Evaluate, plan, direct, and treat all patients referred to speech/language pathology.
Provide supervision of students.
Deal with pressure to meet deadlines, maintain accuracy, and handle constantly changing situations.
Deal with a variety of people, manage stressful situations, and handle conflict.
Perform all job duties or tasks as assigned.
Adhere to all licensing board or agency requirements.
Requirements
Holds a Master’s degree from an approved college or school of speech/language pathology.
Current State Licensure in Speech Pathology (as Speech Pathologist).
May work on an active temporary permit for clinical fellowship year or clinical practicum and/or waiting to take the national examination.
Must complete this requirement within one year.
Knowledge of principals and practice of speech pathology.
Knowledge of infection control, sterile technique and related impact on rehabilitative medicine practice and equipment.
Current BLS certification.
