Acute Care Registered Nurse - Weekend Days

Role Overview

This position involves providing high-quality acute care nursing, working closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to manage patients with complex medical conditions such as blood dyscrasias, endocrine disorders, heart and renal failure, infectious diseases, and respiratory issues. The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, promoting patient safety and education, including post-discharge care and medication management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient and family-centered care in a healing environment.
• Educate patients and families on illness management and home care needs.
• Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and document care plans collaboratively, communicating effectively across the care continuum.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.
• Maintain safety standards as this is a safety-sensitive role.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree, RN license, no prior experience required.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with at least 2 years of experience.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
