Acute Care Registered Nurse PRN

About the role

An Acute Care Registered Nurse (PRN) provides high-quality, patient-centered care across Med/Surg, Progressive Care, and ICU units.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions during admission and shifts, reporting changes.
• Perform procedures and tasks as ordered by medical providers.
• Document care accurately and timely in medical records.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum one year of RN experience, preferably in hospital settings.
• Associates Degree in Nursing required; Master's preferred.
• Current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing; eNLC license may apply.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI.
• Key Attributes: Strong clinical skills, patient advocacy, collaboration, and documentation accuracy.
