Acute Care Registered Nurse PRN

About the Role

An Acute Care Registered Nurse (PRN) provides high-quality, patient-centered care across Med/Surg, Progressive Care, and ICU units. The RN collaborates with medical providers to support pre- and post-operative care and advocates for patients to ensure an exceptional experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions during admission and throughout shifts
• Perform procedures and administer prescribed treatments and medications
• Document care thoroughly and in a timely manner
• Monitor patient responses to medications and maintain clinical knowledge

Requirements

• Minimum of one year RN experience, preferably in hospital settings
• Associates Degree in Nursing required; Master’s preferred
• Current RN licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing; eNLC license may apply
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI
• Knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment related to cardiac and medical-surgical care

Schedule

This PRN role requires a minimum of 2 shifts per 2-week period.
