Responsibilities

  • Provides inpatient post-operative management for kidney, pancreas, and liver transplant recipients.
  • Works in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals to provide care across the continuum.
  • Orders, conducts, and interprets diagnostic tests; prescribes pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies.
  • Teaches and counsels individuals, families, and groups as part of the Nurse Practitioner's practice.
  • Makes appropriate referrals and performs minor procedures as approved by the AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants.

Qualifications

  • Acute Care Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current AZ RN and APRN license and certification as a ACNP.
  • Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the AZ State Board of Medical Practice.
  • Active BLS, ACLS and RN First Assist certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required.

Schedule

Nights only including weekends and holidays
