About the Role
Provides direct patient care in a 25-bed Acute Care Medicine unit, managing patients with complex conditions such as blood dyscrasias, endocrine disorders, heart and renal failure, and infectious diseases.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development.
- Evaluate physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.
- Work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safe practices at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum: Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree and RN license; no experience required.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing and less than 2 years of experience.
