About the Role

Bring your analytical skills and attention to detail to a role where accuracy truly matters. As an Actuarial Technician, you’ll be at the center of ensuring our insurance products are priced and delivered exactly as intended. You’ll play a critical role in protecting the integrity of our products while collaborating across teams to make impactful improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Provide rating support to internal teams; validate premiums and justify changes.
  • Plan, execute, and support testing (Dev, UAT, Post-implementation); perform peer reviews and troubleshoot using premium validation tools.
  • Identify, refine, and resolve rating/system issues to maintain product integrity.
  • Represent the Actuarial team in meetings; contribute insights and follow through on action items.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for assigned states/products, with deep knowledge of rating rules and exceptions.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain system rate books.
  • Gather requirements, close loopholes, and design solutions to protect product intent.
  • Independently own projects and rate changes from inception to completion.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical, logical, reasoning, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (sorting/filtering, formatting, lookup tables, nested functions).

Qualifications

  • Two years of insurance industry experience (underwriting, claims, product development, customer service, or related) a plus.
  • Solid understanding of insurance products, rating systems, and rules for discounts/surcharges a plus.

Pay

The starting pay range for this position is $31.10 - $41.42. Additionally, for full-time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team, and personal performance.
