Activity/Member Assistant

About the role

Elite Home Care Day Centers & Transportation in Laurens, South Carolina is seeking a passionate and caring individual to join our team as an Activity/Member Assistant. This full-time, hourly position involves assisting in and implementing activities for our elderly and young adult clients at our Laurens Day Center, working collaboratively with other team members to provide the best care possible.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Activity Director to carry out engaging activities for members, including games, arts and crafts, music, health, and educational programs.
• Assist with behavior redirection as needed.
• Set up and clean activity areas, ensuring a safe and organized environment.
• Provide personal care assistance to clients, including feeding, toileting, and dressing.
• Document and report any changes in client behavior or health to the RN Administrator.
• Actively engage and socialize with clients to promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Maintain member confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with elderly and/or disabled population preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Clean background check and drug test.
• Physically able to assist members with personal care tasks.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
• No weekends or holidays.
