Activity Director

About the role

We are currently searching for an Activities Director to join our friendly, caring, and supportive team at Avantara Pierre. Responsibilities

• Ensure residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect by implementing and directing activity programs that meet the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of our residents.
• Oversight of all aspects of the Activity Department.
• Participation in resident care conferences.
• Development of new activity programs to keep up with trends and industry standards.

Requirements

• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior Activity Aide and/or Activity Director experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting.
• One (1) year of experience in a director or managerial role.
• NCCAP Certification is preferable but not required.

• Knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure residents are comfortable and safe.

Skills

• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to develop and implement innovative activity programs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
