Activity Coordinator - ALZ-Part Time

About the role

The Activity Coordinator at Ivy Park at Belmont is responsible for organizing, scheduling, promoting, facilitating, and directing activities and excursions for residents in the Traditions Memory Care area. The position aims to enhance residents' independence and quality of life while adhering to the company's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Memory Care Director in creating an engaging social atmosphere for residents.
• Promote resident participation through regularly scheduled activities, excursions, special events, guest speakers, movie showings, exercise sessions, the establishment of clubs, games, art and creativity opportunities, educational classes, and other activities.
• Communicate effectively and maintain tact and friendliness when interacting with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors preferred.
• Requires a current Class C driver license, preferable a Class B license for transporting residents.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.).

Pay and Schedule

The pay range for this position is $22.50-$23.50 per hour.

Schedule

The shift is Friday-Sunday and part-time.
