Activity Bus Driver - On-Call

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from extracurricular activities, the airport, and various destinations.
• Operate various vehicles, including Charter Buses, Activity Buses, Mini Buses, and Vans.
• Pick up food boxes from the dining hall.
• Fuel the Motor Pool vehicles.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the Motor Pool vehicles.

Requirements

• Candidates must be 21 years old.
• Candidates must have a High School Diploma/HSE.
• Candidates must have one to three years of experience.
• Candidates must have a valid Indiana driver's license.
• Candidates must have fundamental computer skills.
• Candidates must hold a Class B CDL.
• Candidates must have a Passenger and Air Brake Endorsement from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
• Candidates must have a School Bus Endorsement from the Department of Education.
• The driver must be able to interact well with high school students and internal and external adults.
• The driver must be patient when waiting for passengers, dealing with students, and driving in heavy and congested traffic.
