We are hiring Full-Time and Part-Time positions for the Activity Barn Staff. Job Summary/Essential Functions The Activities Barn Team Member prepares and facilitates programs designed by the Activity Barn Supervisor and Activity Manager. Works closely with the Supervisor and other team members to execute creative, fulfilling, captivating and safe events. This position will require a significant amount of outdoor work and activities such as crafts and art projects. Job Duties Participates in trainings. Works with Activities Team members and other departments. Promotes events and offerings to members. Utilizes designated space for youth. Prepare designated activity or craft. Leads and facilitates a variety of activities, designed to benefit and enrich program participants. Provides adaptable and quality service to all members and staff. Pivots plans to meet member needs. Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the Activity Barn. Maintains a safe environment for all parties. Performs other tasks as assigned. Knowledgeable about and consistently follows policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook. Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed. Qualifications Classification: seasonal, part-time and full-time positions open, non-exempt Preferred Experience/Core Competencies Experience teaching (classroom, art, physical education, children's programs). Experience managing and facilitating activities programs. Ability to exercise critical human relation skills in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with members, their children, guests, club staff, and management. Ability to perform role in emergency situations. CPR certification. Experience with Member Services or Kids Club at a private club. Strong time management skills. Strong ski or snowboard ability. Group leadership. Outdoor education and experience with fitness events helpful. Education High School Diploma or GED required. Degree in Early Childhood Development, Education, Sociology, Hospitality Management, Art, Physical Education, Exercise Science, or Psychology preferred. Licenses And Special Requirements Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record. Ability to pass a background check. Physical Demands And Work Environment Continuous walking and standing. Ability to traverse various terrain in summer and winter months. Frequent lifting, pulling, bending, stooping and repetitive actions. Ability to project voice and get attention of and cooperation from groups of people. Work outdoors in varying conditions and on occasion in inclement weather. This may include skiing or snowboarding on the mountain.
