Activity Aide & Transportation Driver — 32 hrs/week (Full-Time)

Position Summary

We’re hiring a reliable, compassionate Activity Aide & Transportation Driver to split a 32-hour weekly schedule: 16 hours leading activities and 16 hours transporting residents to appointments and outings. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys social engagement with seniors and ensuring their safe community access.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, and run recreational, therapeutic, and social activities under the Activity Director’s guidance.
• Promote participation and an inclusive, respectful atmosphere.
• Safely transport residents to medical appointments and community outings.
• Assist residents with boarding and exiting vehicles; secure wheelchairs and follow safe transfer protocols.
• Maintain activity supplies and prepare materials.
• Communicate and collaborate with nursing and care staff regarding resident needs and mobility limitations.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required. (CDL not required)
• Experience working with older adults, in long-term care, or in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to safely assist residents with mobility needs; comfortable with light lifting/transfer assistance.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to pass background and driving-record checks.

Schedule & Compensation

• 32 hours/week (16 hrs Activity Aide / 16 hrs Transportation)
• Consistent full-time schedule.
• $16-$18/hour
• Applicants with CNA certification $19
• Typical hours: Mon-Fri 8:00-4:00 and every other weekend
