Eden Vista Edina is a well-established and trusted senior living community and a proud member of Vista Senior Living Management Eden Vista Edina is seeking an Activity Aide to enrich the lives of our residents. Position: Activity Aide Shift: Monday - Friday (Weekends as needed) Hours: 9:00 AM -4:00 PM (Part-time available / 20-25 Hours per week) Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 / HR Work Location: In person We are seeking individuals who are devoted to fostering meaningful and purposeful lives for our residents. The Activity Aide organizes and participates in person-specific activity programming, including one to one interventions, small group facilitation, and large group presentations. Capable of documenting individual participation and value of approaches in the medical record. Job Functions Will Include Assist with planning, coordinating and implementing activities to meet the physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual and emotional needs of our residentsCreate environments where moments of joy, independence, and wellness are the focus each and every dayHelp design programs to encourage socializationProvide entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment and improve daily living skillsPrepare and maintain reports on resident's progressEnsure activity areas are safe and well maintainedGenerate enthusiasm to encourage and motivate participation Ideal Candidates Will Have At least 1 year of Activity Aide or any relevant work experienceMust have a valid driver's license and be comfortable driving a community busA passion for working with peopleExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain cooperative working relationshipsEffective communication skills, both verbal and non-verbalProblem-solving skillsThe ability to remain calm and adapt to changing situationsAbility to work under stress while remaining caring and kindAbility to understand and work in a variety of situations in a positive and constructive mannerExcellent organizational skills with the ability to set and meet deadlinesAbility to be imaginative, creative, and innovative musical/ arts & crafts experience preferred
