ACTIVITY AIDE/COORDINATOR

Responsibilities

The Residential Patient Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the MYA Store, including ensuring adequate inventory, staying within budgetary guidelines, monitoring and reconciling patient point balances, and facilitating patients' participation in store activities. They also ensure that Patient Council meetings occur bi-weekly, track notes, patient feedback, and patient concerns, and oversee the planning and organization of incentives and their completion. Additionally, they coordinate monthly residential purchases, track programmatic needs, and maintain budgets.

The Coordinator facilitates or assists residential staff in organizing recreation activities on second shift and weekends by either directly providing recreation activities or by setting up the necessary structure and supplies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required
• An associate or bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy is preferred
• A valid driver's license and meeting corporate standards to drive company vehicles
• TCI (Transportation Compliance Institute) certification
• Good skills in all forms of communication
• Works well with others in a spirit of teamwork and cooperation
• Maintains and limits access (need-to-know basis) regarding the confidentiality of patient and/or employee information in verbal, written, and electronic formats
• Attention to detail and organizational skills

Qualifications

About the Role

The Residential Patient Coordinator oversees the MYA Store, Patient Council meetings, and recreational activities for young adolescent patients at Mountain Youth Academy, a 120-bed residential treatment facility.

Pay

Starting salary ranges from $18-22 per hour, with potential increases based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the patients and the facility.
